The San Juan Mountains have so many wonderful places to cross country ski. From groomed trails with amazing mountain views to off-trail, hushed Ponderosa pine forests, there is no better place than Pagosa Springs to get away from it all!

Pagosa Mountain Sports rents Classic cross country skis for adults and kids. Classics are best for groomed areas or off-trail skiing in light powdered snow pack.

Adults can also rent Skate skis from Pagosa Mountain Sports. Skate skiing's popularity is on the rise in Pagosa Springs! There are many nicely groomed area trails to experience. Seasoned Classic skiers are attracted to the more engaging workout, grace and speedier pace that Skate skiing can provide. Due to their narrow, tall design, Skate skis are recommended for experienced cross country skiers and require groomed trails.
