  • We have six axe throwing lanes. These lanes all have projected targets with exciting games and digital scoring! Try Bottle Axe, Tic-Tac-Toe, Duck Hunter, and more!
  • Located in Seven Devils, NC, Hero's Axe House is locally owned and operated by first responders bringing axe throwing fun to residents in and around the Banner Elk area.
  • Your admission includes 15 minutes of instruction and 60 minutes of throwing.

What Is The Minimum Age To Throw?
Our minimum age to throw at HERO’S is 10 years old. Individuals age 10 to 17 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver for them and they must be present when those that are underage are throwing. (You can list all underage throwers on one waiver). All are welcome to come watch. Click HERE to sign the waiver.

Is Axe Throwing Safe?
Axe throwing is extremely safe at Hero’s Axe House. We have invested in safety-designed no-bounce borders and end grain targets for your safety. For your safety, YOU MUST WEAR SHOES THAT COVER YOUR TOES! If you listen to the Axe Master and follow all the safety rules you will be very safe.

Can We Bring Others To Watch?
Space is limited. If our lanes are full and space is available, you are welcome to watch for as long as you want. You will want to stand behind your friends’ lane and cheer them on!

What Should I Wear?
All who throw axes MUST WEAR SHOES THAT COMPLETELY COVER THEIR TOES. We do not recommend loose clothing, just comfortable clothes. You cannot wear high heels, sandals, or flip-flops.

What Should I Bring?
Just bring yourself and/or your group and be ready to have a great time!

Can We Bring Our Own Food And Alcohol?
YES and NO. You may bring in outside food. We do sell bottled nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. Highlanders Tavern is right next door. You are welcome to purchase food and bring it in. Alcohol is not currently permitted in our establishment; however, Highlanders Tavern is next door.

Can We Take Photos Or Videos?
YES, absolutely, it’s encouraged. We ask you to also share them with us!!! We want to see you smile and have a great time! Show your friends what a great time you are having at HERO’S AXE HOUSE.
