If you're looking to escape the valley heat or seeking an authentic mountain golf experience, the Lake and Canyon courses at Mountain Dell provide a tranquil retreat in the heart of Parleys Canyon. Located just 12 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City, this isn’t just a round of golf; it’s a high-altitude adventure at an elevation of 6,000 feet.

Peak Season (May – October): The golf shop and courses typically open 30 minutes before the first tee time and close at dusk.
Shoulder Season (March, April, & November): Hours are weather-dependent. The golf shop generally operates from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Frost delays are common and will be communicated to players via email or text message.
Attire: They maintain a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. While traditional golf attire is encouraged, denim and casual athletic wear are acceptable.
Layers: Even if the valley is scorching, temperatures in Parleys Canyon are typically 5-10 degrees cooler. It is strongly recommend a light windbreaker or quarter-zip for early mornings or when the canyon breeze picks up.
Sun Protection: At high altitudes, UV rays are significantly more intense. A hat, high-SPF sunscreen, and sunglasses are highly encouraged to prevent altitude-related fatigue and sunburn.
Course Layout & Walkability: While they permit walking, please be aware that both courses feature significant elevation changes (nearly 400 feet on the Canyon Course) and extended stretches between certain holes. Most guests find a cart essential to enjoy the full experience.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made more than 2 hours before the scheduled tee time to be eligible for a refund.
Pace of Play: To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, Mountain Dell encourages a pace of play of 4 hours.
Nature: It is common to encounter moose, badgers, and other wildlife on both courses. Please maintain a respectful distance and do not attempt to feed or approach the wildlife. Dogs are not allowed anywhere on the property, including the parking lot. They ask that all guests help them protect this resource by using the provided trash receptacles and staying on the course.
